Chernoff Law Expands Criminal Defense Areas

When individuals have been arrested and charged with a crime, their lives can turn upside down. Whether the charges the individual is facing are minor or serious, the fact is that criminal charges can take a devastating toll on the individual as well as his or her family. Because of this, those who have been charged with a crime should take the charges seriously and should find the best criminal defense services available. Chernoff Law is a highly reputable law firm that serves the Houston metropolitan area, and it has recently enhanced its criminal defense areas in order to better serve the needs of its valued clients.

The impact of criminal charges can be felt by an individual immediately upon arrest, and in some cases, the impact can continue to be felt for years or even decades. When an individual has been arrested and charged with a crime, he or she is unable to work while behind bars. This can have a financial effect on the family. Special arrangements may need to be made to care for dependents until bail can be posted and the individual is released. Then, the individual must defend himself or herself on the charges that have been filed. If convicted, the conviction may remain on a person’s permanent record for a lifetime in some cases. Furthermore, a conviction may result in the need to serve community service, spend time behind bars, pay a large fine or deal with other related consequences.

Clearly, criminal charges can be burdensome to deal with, and an individual wants to build a sound defense strategy to enjoy the best outcome from the case. Even when convicted of a crime, a sound defense strategy may result in a lighter sentence, or the lawyer may be able to work to reduce the charges that have been filed. Chernoff Law offers an extensive range of legal services for its clients. It can assist with areas of the law that include sex crimes, drug crimes, violent crimes, theft crimes, and even manslaughter and other related crimes. The experienced legal team is committed to providing each of its valued clients with superior service through a sound defense.

Chernoff Law is a trusted and reputable law firm that has been serving the Houston area for years, and it is known for providing its clients with excellent legal services. New Licensing Announced for Novell GroupWise 2014 – Complimentary Netmail Archive Mailbox Licenses Available from Netmail.com

Netmail

Novell today announced changes to the way they will license GroupWise 2014. A summary of these changes is available online.

As part of a special GroupWise 2014 upgrade promotion, any existing client wishing to upgrade to GroupWise 2014 can obtain a free Netmail Archive mailbox license from Netmail.com. By archiving off inactive mailboxes, clients will avoid having to pay to license inactive mailboxes. Once the content of a mailbox is removed from the GroupWise system using Netmail Archive, clients will be able to use their full GroupWise license for additional users being added to their system.

“We are very excited about GroupWise 2014 and looking forward to its release in the coming weeks. Many of our clients have already planned to upgrade and take advantage of the new and powerful administration tools,” said Frederic Bourget, CTO of Netmail, one of the leading developers of security and compliance solutions for GroupWise. “We are especially pleased to be able to offer all GroupWise clients free access to Netmail Archive and introduce them to our comprehensive Email Management platform,” he added.

If clients do not wish to use Netmail Archive, they will need to pay a license fee for Inactive Mailboxes after they have upgraded to GroupWise 2014. This only applies to a mailbox that has been explicitly marked as inactive by the administrator and has not been accessed for 60 days. This is often the case when an employee leaves an organization, but the employee’s email must be retained for eDiscovery or compliance purposes.

This new inactive license option will be priced at approximately 23 percent of the cost of a GroupWise Full Client Mailbox. Full pricing information can be found on Novell's website at http://www.novell.com/products/groupwise/howtobuy.

In addition to reducing clients’ post-upgrade license cost, Netmail Archive provides many additional benefits such as advanced eDiscovery, case management, storage management, and full export capabilities. This further strengthens the position of GroupWise as one of the most secure mobile collaboration products available on the market.
